Here is a picture I took while preparing for a Naperville Scavenger Hunt. I took it from the Main Street bridge and thought it was a pretty good shot. The riverwalk is so beautiful this time of year.
A colorful card containing artwork from Netherlands. Those Dutch have the coolest cards.
This is a picture of a oyster shell house. It is beautiful…but not very common these days, so the postcrossing sender says.
Ooo, another Finnish postcard. This one relates to the Finnish culture.
A beautiful card from Finland. Plus, the stamp has a finnish flag!
At first look, I thought this was a printed card – then I realized that it was homemade. Now, some on the PostCrossing world wouldn’t like this style of postcard…but it is quite interesting. That is what I like about exchanging postcards, you can see the people’s personality. Plus, stamps from around the world!
I received this wonderful card from Martin who lives in Kiel, Germany. It is of the Gorch Fock, a boat with the German Navy. I particularly enjoyed the two stamps that he used to post the card. The left most is celebrating 600 years of the University of Leipzig…This is a translation from the German Deutsche Post website:
I received my first card from Post Crossing. It was sent to me by Juli, who is a university student. The city has “kisses” for their street lamps! Fascinating. There was a CDS style postmark, however, with the printing on the postcard and a light inking it is not a good specimen!
