I ordered my Mailer’s Postmark from Bill Porter over at the Olathe Poste. Here is a sample of one of the Mailer’s Postmark Cancels he uses.
Later today I am going to the post office to put in the mail my First Day of Use collection of Mailer’s Postmark Permit. If anyone would like a “post card” imprint of the First Day of Use, please send me a SASE. I have a limited number of index cards with 1c cancels on them. I’m still getting use to the Staz-On stamp pad. It requires a very light touch, which I am not use to…so some of the First Days might be a little to light or too dark.

After work today I went to pick up my mail from the post office and received a package from Olathe Post, where i ordered my stamp from. It is beautiful!
I would highly recommend William Porter, who runs the company! It took just three days from the time of order until I received the stamp….
I am so excited. Last Thursday I received word from the Plainfield Post Office that my Mailer’s Postmark Permit Application has been approved! Even better is that I have received permit #1!!! So I ordered a new stamp from William Porter over at the Olathe Post which should come this week to finalize my permit… I’ll post it when it arrives. Anyway, that also means that I’m going to have a day of first use. Let me know if you’d like a postcard or something!!!
