Today I had to journey into Chicago – Streeterville to be exact. Well, if I attended my home church, I would not have made it in time so I decided to visit a church closer to the city. This would be Apostles in Melrose Park.

The service was wonderful, though it was LW DS1, which I haven’t been apart of recently, Pr. Tausz chanted the service, something i haven’t seen since the days at CSL and Pr. Burreson. I am so excited and hope that if you are his way to stop by and see a little high church.

Ok, so I am watching this show on EWTN and they talked about this guy who goes to
mass daily. Oh how wonderful that would be. Now, I know of Lutheran churches
that have mass daily – but those are far and few inbetween…Why?

Could it be that it is too catholic?

Ok, so I attended Mass this past Christmas Eve and the Divine
Service on Christmas and noticed something that I thought was
strange. We had our blue candles on the advent wreath with the
Christ candle in the center. I will never understand the practices
that my parish (and others) have regarding the Advent Wreath.
