September 2, 1941 – Menominee, Michigan

This postcard has an interesting stamp. One from just before World War II which states Industry – Agriculture FOR DEFENSE. As you can see, the postcard was mailed prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the US entry into World War II.

It is addressed to Miss Lorraine Stilling who lives in McHenry Illinois.

September 15, 1914 – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

I picked up this card because it had an old Canada postmark. Notice the 2 c in the dauber.

See you latter
Forgot your birthday till it was to late.

Dear Mother,
I am back at toronto again. I am not doing very good may be home before long. Hope you are well and happy. Albert

July 9, 1970 – Looe Cornwall, United Kingdom

REMEMBER TO USE THE POST CODE! I like how the postmark is nearly included in the dauber. Looe Cornwall is a town in the Western UK.

Hope you are well. We are enjoying our stay, weather is a bit changeable at present but it has been nice + warm. John hasn’t caught a shark yet!

Love,
Gwen, John, & Ann?

March 23, 1911 – Bloomington IL

I really liked the American Flag dauber design. It is addressed to Master Walter Baese of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

All my love + many kisses to my dear son. Hope your hip is getting better.

Your loving Papa.

Makes me wonder what happened to the poor young lad. You will remember that Master addresses young men under the age of 13!

December 31, 1921 – New York, New York

Ok, so this postcard is sealed in plastic and the price tag is on the outside of the plastic – so I didn’t scan it.

What drew me to this postmark was the notation to “Address your Mail to Street and Number” next to the straight line dauber. It was postmarked in New York on December 31, 1921.
